Why am I so passionate about assisting others achieve results that they’d always hoped were possible?

The story begins in my University years.

I’ve always been passionate about Fitness, Martial Arts and Sports, having trained in them for many years of my life. I started Personal Training almost two decades ago, to help get me through Uni (I was studying psychology and human health). But being young and self conscious I didn’t want to be ‘average’ at anything and certianly not when people trusted me with their health, I wanted to stand out. Even if it was going to be a temporary career I wanted to be good at it. I knew I needed to not only be qualified, but to actually know what I was doing and why. Later, I would spend my free time doing courses and going to libraries, reading text books cover to cover, watching videos on surgeries and yes, attending the “wet lab” to study real human anatomy.

Inexperienced and after my first course which “qualified” me, I dove in head first and began working for free with people I knew. I found that my knowledge from Martial Arts helped me tremendously, and if there’s one thing I knew it’s how the body moves.  Well, working with people was very different to knowing “what to do”, and I quickly learned there’s as much or more mental “work” as there is physical work to personal training. I always try to make training fun and the changes clients go through are exciting, actually life changing.  I’ll never forget one of my early experiences personal training:  one of the girls was visiting from Ireland, and when it was time for her to return home she cried and told me how much of a support I was and how she’d never forget me.  She said that for the first time in her life she was happy with the way she looked, having toned up and lost over 15kg, and she was happy with the healthy life she was living. She told me they were tears of joy as well as lots of other emotions.

Another one of my early clients was one of my best friends, a chef (now a famous top restaurateur in Sydney), who had been involved in a bad car accident.  We trained together for several months. Then on my birthday he gave me an expensive gift and said he’s stopped waking up at night and hasn’t been in pain for ages, in fact he was in the best shape of his life, he felt unstoppable. He said “Pascal, some people are chosen to do things in life, I think this is your gift”.   It was an overwhelming feeling to feel the respect and pride my clients had towards me. Since then it’s been a privilege to make a career out of personal training and have people trust me with their bodies. I've come a long way and assisted countless more people with their journeys.  Some have crazy goals and some have tragic injuries, and it’s been an amazing journey for me so far.

Now for you! I strike the balance of motivator, coach, counselor, and nutritionist, and basing workouts on my client’s physical make up, it’s always my goal to give them my very best in each and every session. My vision is to continue to assist people and bring out the very best in everyone that wants to go for it!
